Bills, Bills, Bills

Talk about a reality check. My first mortgage payment is due next month...

I've been trying to remember to unplug everything before I leave, but I find that I often forget to turn off my ceiling fans or unplug the TV. I wonder if that really makes much of a difference on my electricity bill.

I also used an oven for the first time on Saturday. I didn't make something from scratch, but hey, it's a start. I also got some cookie and brownie mixes, so I'm going to attempt to make them sometime soon. I have a ton of baking pans now. :)

We'll see if I can really domesticate myself.

Pre-Moving Day

Tomorrow is the big day!  It's the beginning of a new chapter in my life.  Moving in to a new place is something I never really expected to be doing right now.  I've been fortunate to have gotten lots of hand-me-downs from my parents and BFC, so that cut costs on furniture, dishes, and silverware.  I'm afraid of not being able to make ends meet, but I'm hoping things will be okay.
